British general discusses D-Day, Normandy invasion
The Village Church and Rancho Santa Fe Foundation featured British Gen. Graham Hollands at their Viewpoints event Feb. 19 at the church Fellowship Center. Hollands, said to provide “a soldier’s insight and an unmatched knowledge of history,” gave a lecture on D-Day and the Normandy invasion.

The Jan. 17 installment of Viewpoints featured Dr. John Reed, scientist and leader at the Sanford-Burnham, a research institute that seeks to understand the underlying biological mechanisms that generate good health or, when they go awry, cause disease.
