Have you ever wanted to learn more about what happened during D-Day and the Normandy invasion? On Sunday evening, February 19th, community members will have an extraordinary opportunity to hear about the invasion from British General Graham Hollands, a leading expert. It has been said of General Hollands that he provides "a soldier's insight and an unmatched knowledge of history." He lectures regularly on the Queen Mary 2 and has appeared on the Discovery Channel and the BBC as an expert commentator on D-Day and the Battles for Normandy. General Hollands and his wife now live in Normandy.
General Hollands will be discussing the invasion with Dr. Jack Baca on Sunday evening February 19th beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Center at The Village Church (6225 Paseo Delicias, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067). Wine and light hors d'oeuvres will be served as a part of the evening's events. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Viewpoints is co-presented by The Village Church and the Rancho Santa Fe Foundation. The goal of the lecture series is to inform, inspire and impact by providing a forum in which individuals, renown in their field, share their knowledge, wisdom and experience with members of the Rancho Santa Fe community.
